A Letter Before the First Page
Eclat Press is an editorial guide to premium beauty sold on Amazon: what we read, how we choose, and why we publish verdicts instead of scores.

Dear reader,
Eclat Press began with a simple irritation. Premium beauty is the most expensive shelf in the bathroom and the least honestly described. A serum can cost more than a good dinner, yet its page will tell you almost nothing about the formula inside: the active percentage is buried, the bottle size is an afterthought, and every product is, somehow, a miracle.
We read beauty the way a good editor reads a manuscript. The ingredient list is the text. The published specifications (active percentages, filter types, oil systems, sizes) are the facts we are willing to print. Everything else is commentary, and we label it as such.
What we publish
Each topic on Eclat Press is a small magazine in itself: a hub essay, a ranked best-of guide, focused micro guides, full reviews of the leading products, head-to-head comparisons, a buying guide and a care page. Every product we list is sold on Amazon in its Premium Beauty or Luxury Stores programmes, and we record what we saw on the listing before we link to it.
We do not publish prices, because prices move. We do not publish star ratings or review counts, because a number scraped from a listing page today is wrong by the weekend and was never our judgement to begin with. Our verdicts are written as trade-offs: who a product suits, who should skip it, and which named rival does the other job better.
Who we are
Eclat Press is written and maintained by the Eclat Press Research Team, a small editorial desk that reads listings, manufacturer documentation and owner commentary so readers do not have to open forty tabs. When we describe what owners report, we describe recurring themes in their own words' spirit, never invented statistics and never hands-on testing we did not do.
If a product is reformulated, replaced or withdrawn, we update the page and say so. Beauty moves quickly; an honest guide admits its dates.
Yours, in better formulas,
The Editor, Eclat Press
