StriVectin SD Advanced Plus Review: The One Tube for Face, Neck and Beyond
A full review of StriVectin's SD Advanced Plus Intensive Moisturizer: NIA-114, the Collagex-CE complex, and who the face and body brief really suits.

How this review was made: from the manufacturer's published formula and specifications, the live Amazon listing, and recurring themes in owner commentary. Eclat Press does not claim hands-on testing it has not done, and publishes no scores.
The formula: NIA-114 and the collagen argument
StriVectin's identity rests on NIA-114, its patented, optimized form of niacin, designed to strengthen the skin barrier and support the performance of the ingredients around it. Around that anchor, the Plus version of SD Advanced builds the Collagex-CE complex, with copper tripeptide and marine ferments, framed by the brand as targeting ten types of collagen. Peptides and hyaluronic acid round out a deck that is unusually complete for a moisturizer. Read cosmetically, the claim is about the look of firmness and the appearance of lines, and the formula is coherent for that claim: barrier support, peptide signalling and water binding in one rich base.
Texture, scent and the tube
This is a concentrate in behaviour as much as name: rich, substantial and slow to disappear, which dry and normal skin will read as thorough and oily skin will read as a winter weight. The fragrance is present and divides owners more than any other property of the product. The tube deserves its own praise. It is hygienic, it travels, it dispenses the generous amounts that neck and chest application actually requires, and it empties completely, none of which is true of the prestige jars it outranks here.
What owners report
Owner commentary returns to three themes: smoother feeling, more even looking skin across the face and neck; appreciation for covering the chest with the same product rather than a second purchase; and the scent, praised as pleasant by some and flagged as strong by others. Complaints cluster on pilling over silicone heavy serums, which is a layering note rather than a formula flaw, and on richness in humid weather. Applied over water based serums on slightly damp skin, most of the friction owners describe disappears.
Who should skip it
Skip this tube if your skin is oily and your climate humid, if fragrance is a hard exclusion, or if your goal is a retinoid, which this formula does not contain and does not imitate. Retinol seekers belong with the Murad night cream; fragrance free buyers with Protini or Augustinus Bader. Within its own brief, though, face, neck and body in one collagen focused concentrate, nothing else in this guide competes with it directly.
SD Advanced Plus earns the top ranking in this guide not by being the most luxurious jar, it is a tube, but by solving the actual geometry of anti-aging care.
From the verdict
In Owners' Hands
Recurring themes, in aggregate and without numbers we cannot stand behind.
What owners praise
- Skin feeling smoother and looking more even across the face and neck is the recurring theme
- Owners value using one product down the neck and across the chest instead of a second cream
- The tube format is praised as hygienic and travel friendly compared with open jars
What owners question
- The scent divides owners, with some finding it stronger than a face cream needs
- A minority report pilling when it is layered over silicone heavy serums
- The richer texture is described as a winter weight by oilier owners
Consider Instead

Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream 1.7 fl oz
Choose Murad instead if the active you actually want is retinol, in a buffered night cream, and your territory is the face at night rather than face and body twice daily

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream 30ml
Choose Augustinus Bader instead if you want the prestige, fragrance free version of rich, one cream care for face, neck and decolletage, and accept the smaller bottle
Questions, Answered
Is SD Advanced Plus a face cream or a body cream?
Both, by design and by its listing, which titles it for face and body. It began as a stretch mark and wrinkle concentrate and the Plus version keeps that dual brief, which is precisely why it leads a guide whose readers mostly treat more than their faces.
Can it be used around the eyes?
The brand's own directions for the line say to apply to the face avoiding the eye area, and this guide follows that: use a dedicated eye product there, and keep this rich, fragranced concentrate for the face, neck and body areas it is directed to.
