Where They Differ

What is in the bottle

The base is identical, which is what makes this a real comparison. The Rose Oil adds an oil soluble vitamin C, Chios crystal oil and Damascus rose extract to that base. The 100% oil adds nothing: the ingredient list is the product name. Every difference in feel, scent and purpose between the two bottles is contained in those three additions.

Scent, finish and ritual

The Rose Oil smells of roses, deliberately, and leaves a lit glow finish owners either build a ritual around or tire of. The pure oil is scentless and finishes closer to skin, which is why it survives morning routines, shared bathrooms and sensitive noses. Neither finish is greasier than the other at the right dose; a drop too many is the usual culprit in both bottles.

Format and range of use

The Rose Oil is a 30 ml dropper bottle dosed in drops for the face. The pure oil is a 100 ml pump that owners use on body skin and hair ends as well, making its cost per use the lowest in this hub. If the oil is only ever going on your face, the formats are closer than they look; if it will travel the body, the pump wins outright.

Questions, Answered

Is the Rose Oil just the pure oil with fragrance?

No. The vitamin C is a functional addition with a brightening brief, and the Chios crystal oil changes the formula's character as well. The rose extract is the scent source. Owners who buy the Rose Oil only for the scent are overpaying; owners who buy it for the vitamin C and enjoy the scent are reading it correctly.

Can I layer the pure oil over the Rose Oil?

You can, but it duplicates the base without adding a job. The sensible splits are one oil per routine, or the Rose Oil on the face and the pure oil reserved for body and hair, which is how many two bottle owners actually run them.
