Head to Head
Briogeo Charcoal Powder vs IGK First Class: Powder vs Aerosol
Two charcoal dry shampoos, two delivery systems: a non aerosol squeeze bottle powder against a heavy duty aerosol, compared on application, strength and finish.

Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo
A non aerosol charcoal powder in a squeeze bottle, for oily roots.

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo
The heavy duty charcoal cleanse, built for oily hair and post workout roots.
Where They Differ
Application, minute by minute
First Class works like every spray in this topic: shake, spray sections from distance, wait, brush. The Briogeo bottle asks for targeting: dispense onto roots from about five inches, wait a full two minutes, then brush or finger through until invisible. In a rushed morning the aerosol wins outright; at a dressing table, the powder's placement control is genuinely better at the parting and hairline.
Absorbency load and finish
IGK publishes the heavier system, charcoal with 7 percent cleansing powders including rice starch and zeolite, and the finish carries texture to match. Briogeo's charcoal works with rice, corn and tapioca starches and kaolin in a lighter dusting per application, and once fully brushed out the finish is cleaner and softer, at the cost of less total oil capacity per pass.
Formula brief and practicalities
Briogeo publishes 98 percent naturally derived ingredients and its 6 Free exclusions, and the non aerosol bottle is cabin friendly and long lived per ounce of product. IGK counters with vegan and cruelty free positioning and UV protection among its published claims, plus a 6.3 oz can against Briogeo's 1.7 oz bottle. One is an ingredient led purchase; the other is a capacity led one.

Questions, Answered
Which one shows less on dark hair?
Neither is tinted, and both need a full brush out. The Briogeo powder is pale and concentrated where it lands, so dark hair shows it until the two minute wait and brush are complete. IGK's finer aerosol distributes more thinly and disappears faster with massage, though IGK also sells a tinted sibling, First Class After Dark, for dark hair that wants this strength without the question.
Can the powder and the aerosol be used together?
They can, and some oily haired owners do exactly that: aerosol across the whole head for speed, powder touched precisely at the parting where oil breaks through first. Keep total dose in mind, because two charcoal systems layered carelessly will read as grit by afternoon. One product used well beats two used heavily.
