The Review
Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream Review
Auto Correct reviewed on its own terms: caffeine, Brazilian ginseng and light reflecting particles, a rich cream texture, and an instant effect that is partly optical and says so.

How this review was made: from the manufacturer's published formula and specifications, the live Amazon listing, and recurring themes in owner commentary. Eclat Press does not claim hands-on testing it has not done, and publishes no scores.
Caffeine, ginseng and the light reflectors
The pack itself prints the headline actives: caffeine, lutein and horse chestnut. The brand's description adds Brazilian ginseng root extract beside the caffeine for the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, with cocoa butter, shea butter and watermelon rind extract keeping the base cushioned. Then there are the light reflecting particles, the ingredient class most reviews whisper about. They scatter light across the under eye so shadow reads as brightness. It is the same principle as a brightening concealer, built into a treatment cream, and the honest way to judge it is as two products in one bottle, priced accordingly.
How it wears through a morning
The cream is rich on application and settles within a minute or two to a finish most owners describe as comfortable under concealer. The pump doses small, repeatable amounts, which matters because this texture punishes over application with heaviness. Dry and normal skin take to it at both ends of the day. Oily skin owners are the consistent exception in commentary, preferring it as a night cream or skipping to the Dermalogica gel for mornings, a pattern this edit's format guide predicts exactly.
Ownership themes
Owners praise the immediate awake look first, the buttery texture second, and the pump third. The complaints are narrower: the richness under makeup in warm weather, the size of the bottle at its tier, and a learning curve in the first week, where too much product makes the area look worse rather than better. Notably, few owners dispute the brightening itself; the argument is about texture and value, which is where this review also lands.
Auto Correct is the eye cream for people whose problem is the morning mirror.
From the verdict
In Owners' Hands
Recurring themes, in aggregate and without numbers we cannot stand behind.
What owners praise
- The brighter, more awake look within minutes of application
- A buttery texture that still sits well under concealer for many owners
- The pump bottle, which owners find hygienic and easy to dose
What owners question
- Owners with very oily skin find the cream rich for daytime wear
- The brightening effect is partly immediate and optical, which surprises buyers expecting only gradual change
- Some owners wish the bottle were larger at this tier

Questions, Answered
Is the instant brightening from Auto Correct just makeup?
Partly, and openly. The light reflecting particles brighten the look of the area optically, the way a brightening primer does, and that effect leaves when you cleanse. The caffeine and botanical formula underneath is the gradual part. The product is best understood, and best bought, as both: a treatment cream that also behaves like a brightening base.
Can Auto Correct replace my eye treatment entirely?
For the puffiness and shadow brief, yes, it is a complete twice daily product. For a lines first brief, the StriVectin concentrate carries the broader treatment architecture, and for a dryness first brief the Shiseido cream is richer. Auto Correct's home ground is the tired looking eye, and on that ground it needs no partner.
